Rachel
Nicholson

Rachel is a voice teacher and coach based near the sea in Edinburgh, Scotland.

After working as an actress and performer Rachel trained for an MA in Voice Studies at the Royal Central school of Speech and drama. In London Rachel primarily taught for around 20  years. She worked with many young actors and performers at many of London’s top drama schools; Lamda, Mountview, Central, Rose Bruford, Rada, ALRA, Webber Douglas and GSA. Her work has covered all aspects of voice, text and accents.

Rachel is now a visiting tutor to Scottish colleges such as The Royal Conservatoire in Glasgow and Dundee College.

Accents

Since relocating back to her native Edinburgh in the last 2 years Rachel has been focusing on freelance and one to one work, mostly with accents and preparing script work for TV and film. Accents she regularly is asked to coach are Scottish, American and Southern English.
