Liam graduated from Central School of Speech and Drama with a Masters Degree in Voice Studies in 2011, having worked in the Film and TV industry for a decade previously.
Liam brings a passion for voice, in particular accent, with him for each project, and an actor wrote this of him:
"Liam is great, he works so hard, he is a wonderful member of the crew, and he brings a joy and enthusiasm to his work that infects all his colleagues. I can't recommend him highly enough. Ive never done this for a voice coach before. He is an exceptional teacher."
He has worked in Cape Town, Hong Kong, Berlin and Budapest as well as UK studios and locations.
Liam has recently brought Hawkins to life in London by looking after voice and dialect for the highly anticipated sold out Stranger Things Live Experience. Director David Wally has said:
“Liam French Robinson is a perfect collaborator. I had the great good fortune to work alongside Liam on the London production of Stranger Things: The Experience. He was hired to ensure the entire cast of 52 British actors were prepared to perform with a flawless American dialect. Liam delivered on that and so much more - He was also a trusted partner and coach and cheerleader and ambassador for the project. And I am now so grateful to consider him a true friend.
The clients are extremely pleased with the production, they think the actors are fantastic, and they are awed by their impeccable American dialects. Mission (brilliantly) Accomplished!”
He advised and helped fine tune the ‘ideal voice’ as the ingredient for artificial intelligence, which aims at its core to deliver an artificial voice, that the listener can interact with as if it is a human at the other end of the phone.
